Home

Accessibility and American Disability Act Compliant means that documents can be easily accessed by persons using assistive technology. Assistive technology can range from Screen Readers that will audibly render content on a page, to sophisticated technology that can convert information into braille, to ensuring text on a screen can be easily and correctly magnified.

Making files Accessible involves using certain accessibility tools within the different file types to ensure that the documents can be properly accessed by assistive technology. This guide provides general information, some best practices, and step by step guides showing you how to make Word, PDF, and PowerPoint slides Accessible. For additional information please watch this short video on ADA issues
