ETST 101 Projects:

Co-Teaching: A Group Notes Assignment: (due Weeks 6-8): Our mid-semester writing assignment aim is to practice collaborative learning and co-reading engagement.

  • Take a look at the week you signed up for and the topics, articles and media assigned.
  • Decide which topic, article or media your group wants to take notes on.
  • Open the class shared class doc and input your notes from the article/media using guidelines provided Sunday the week before the article is assigned to the rest of the class.
  • Provide a group discussion (15-20 minutes) on your group’s work and how you understand that section’s themes.
  • Focus on small group discussions or activities (Avoid: Powerpoints and live quizzes)

 

Kitchen Table Talks: An exercise in equity and fairness (due Weeks 10-13).

  • Browse the readings from Weeks 10-13 and with your group choose which week you would like to present. Sign-ups are available Week 4.
  • Read ahead for your Group Presentation on Kitchen Table Talks.
  • Exchange info and stay in communication in class and outside of class. If something comes up, let others in your group and let Profe know.

  • Figure out who will do what and allow for patience and individual and collective breakthroughs.
