Have you ever considered becoming a librarian? If you are a student majoring in a STEM or Health Sciences field and want to continue working in the sciences but not necessarily in a laboratory setting, science librarianship may be the career for you!

The STEM/HS Library Intern will work one-on-one with CSUSM librarians to learn about what it's like to be a science librarian at a university. You will learn about the different types of library jobs, practice some of the foundational skills of librarianship (such as conducting a reference interview), learn about the different information resources in your major, and practice career skills that you can take with you wherever you go. By the end of this internship, you’ll have a greater understanding of libraries, research tools and resources in your major, and have had the opportunity to hone your career and interviewing skills.

***This is PAID internship and you do not have to be enrolled in an internship course. 10 hours/week in the spring semester.***
