Researching a company?

Use this guide to find a range of sources used to examine a company such as: 

  • Company profiles (public companies and very large private companies*)
  • Corporate annual reports,
  • Business news and trade publications.

Publicly traded companies are much easier to find research due to reporting requirements with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). *Researching small private companies requires more effort and the use of a series of resources to create an "understanding" or story of the company.
