  • Tips on how to search databases, including: 
    • using limits
    • truncation
    • combining terms using AND/OR
  • The specifics of three different databases - ACS, PubMed, and Science Direct.

  1. Complete the Basics of databases tutorial.
  2. Watch the following videos:
    1. Using controlled vocabulary
    2. How library stuff works: Boolean operators (AND OR NOT)
    3. How library stuff works: Boolean modifiers "", *, ()
  3. Complete the Journal Article Assignment (included in Cougar Courses).
