Library Collection Cancellations, 2025-2026

FY 25-26 Planned Cancellations: Databases

The databases below have been identified for cancellation in FY 25-26, saving a total of $307,181.29.

The Library cancels a small number of subscription resources each year based on usage data; very low-used subscription resources are routinely cancelled based on the Library's knowledge of how those resources are integrated into curriculum and how easy it would be to obtain those resources through resource sharing.

The scale of the anticipated cancellations for FY25-26 exceed our typical level of cancellations. While usage has been considered in identifying resources for cancellation, subscription resources with relatively high use are included in the list of cancellations because their pricing model outpaces our ability to support their ongoing high costs.

The Library will retain access to the Electronic Core Collection (ECC) (paid for centrally by the CSU Chancellor's Office) as well as hundreds of research databases and scholarly journal subscriptions. We hope to restore access to these resources in the future pending funding availability.
